About
Tham Penhafiel is a Brazilian-born interior designer whose work blends technical precision, cultural sensitivity, and a timeless aesthetic. With over a decade of experience, she brings clarity, warmth, and thoughtful detail to every project.
Her background in Business Administration and Finance shaped her strategic approach and ability to manage complex projects. Before transitioning to design, she worked for five years at Petrobras, where she developed strong skills in technical documentation and quality control—foundations that continue to inform her process.
Since moving to the U.S., Tham has contributed to notable architectural and interior projects with Winick Architects, including luxury retail spaces for Hermès and Louis Vuitton and hospitality environments for The Four Seasons Biltmore, the historic Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club, and Jeannine’s Restaurants.
Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, she values culturally aware design and believes each space should reflect the people who experience it. Outside of work, she explores museums, books, and podcasts, and hosts Life In Design, a bilingual show centered on uplifting conversations. She also finds inspiration in the arts—and occasionally from her cats, Louie and Luna.
